Terms of service

These terms govern this website and Zepi’s power bank rental service. By renting a power bank or using this website, you agree to them.

Who we are

Zepi operates a shared power bank network at partner venues in Ghent, Belgium. Power banks remain Zepi’s property. A rental is a licence to use a bank for charging, not a sale.

The service

You may rent a power bank from any Zepi kiosk, charge your device on the go, and return it to any Zepi kiosk with a free slot. Our network currently operates in Ghent. Available kiosks and slots can change.

How rentals work

No account is required. At the kiosk, tap Rent, review the price, and pay with a supported card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay. The rental starts when the bank unlocks and ends when it is fully inserted into a Zepi slot and the station confirms the return.

Fees and payment

Current rates: €3 up to 6 hours; €6 up to 12 hours; €15 if not returned. The price shown at the kiosk at the time of rental is the price that applies. Payment is taken by our payment provider. If a bank is not returned, we may charge the replacement amount. If it is later returned in usable condition, you pay only for the time used, subject to verification at the kiosk.

Use of the power bank

Use the bank only to charge personal devices. Do not keep, sell, modify, or open it. Do not use it in a way that could injure people or damage property. Return it to a kiosk when you are done so the next person can use it. You are responsible for the bank until the station confirms it has been returned.

Loss, damage, and misuse

If a bank is lost, stolen, damaged beyond normal wear, or not returned, you may be charged the replacement amount shown at the kiosk. Tell us if a bank is faulty. Do not return a damaged bank without reporting it if you are able to.

Hosting a kiosk

Submitting a request on the Host a kiosk page is an enquiry, not a contract to install a kiosk or supply service at a given venue. Placement, timing, and commercial terms are agreed separately.

This website

This site is provided for information about Zepi. We may update content, pricing, and locations. App listings, where shown, may refer to a forthcoming app and are not required to rent.

Liability

To the extent permitted by Belgian consumer law, Zepi is not liable for indirect loss, or for a device that does not charge because of a device fault, incompatible connection, or a kiosk that is full or temporarily out of service. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes

We may update these terms. The version on this page applies from the date above. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Belgian law. If you are a consumer, you also have the protection of mandatory consumer rules in your country of residence. Disputes may be brought before the competent courts in Ghent, without affecting any mandatory consumer venue rights.
